LIMENTE Water sensor

Water damage can cause significant harm and costs, but detecting it is now easier than ever. The LIMENTE water sensor brings peace of mind to your home by immediately notifying you of potential water leaks. This compact, wireless sensor is designed to detect moisture in critical locations, such as under the kitchen sink, and alert you using your kitchen backsplash lights, for example. Multiple water sensors can be placed throughout the kitchen and connected to the same kitchen lighting system, ensuring a clear alert through your home's lighting—wherever the leak occurs. You can choose which Limente lights will notify you of a leak, and when the sensor senses water, it will begin to flash the selected lights.

Use and commissioning

The LIMENTE water sensor requires a SMART 520 or SMART 540 dimmer unit shipped from Limente 11-2025 or later, to operate. When the water leak detector senses moisture, it reacts immediately by flashing the kitchen lights connected to the same dimmer. This clear and effective visual alarm ensures you are aware of the problem as it happens.

Installation

The water sensor is easy to install and very simple to commission. The LIMENTE watersensor connects to your kitchen lighting by pairing it in the same way that standard LIMENTE SMART light switches are paired. The same water sensor can be connected to one or more dimmers, meaning all lighting groups connected to the detector will signal a leak. This allows you to react to a leak in multiple locations using your lighting. Conversely, you can also connect multiple leak detectors to the same lights, allowing you to monitor several areas using the same lighting.
